Swiss stone pine days. At the Glungezer
The Swiss stone pine is also known as the "Queen of the Alps" - but it certainly reigns supreme on the Glungezer. Here, where the largest stone pine forest in Central Europe is located and its characteristic scent is always in the air, is the ideal place to celebrate Tyrol's Stone Pine Days.
Visitors can look forward to three varied themed days: from natural history tours to workshops and lectures in the forest, a stone pine market and demonstrations by stone pine wood carvers and music: everything revolves around the topic of stone pine.
Program of the Zirbentage
Away from the program, the mountain adventure world "Kugelwald am Glungezer" offers fun in the great outdoors for the whole family. In addition to rolling Swiss stone pine balls and a variety of ball tracks, the adventure world features a do-it-yourself building area, activity stations and a relaxation area with a viewing platform.
Hiking enthusiasts can hike along the Swiss stone pine trail high above the Inn Valley through one of the oldest Swiss stone pine forests in Europe. A breathtaking view, the scent of Swiss stone pines and the alpine rose blossom make for a fantastic hike in the high mountains. The Zirbenweg is a leisurely hike (altitude difference: approx. 200 meters, difficulty level: easy, walking time: approx. 2 1/2 hours)
Up-to-date information about the event can be found on this page as well as on the homepage of the Glungezerbahn.
