Parish church of St. Laurentius - Baumkirchen
The parish church of St. Laurentius was first mentioned in a document in 1310. In the 15th century it was extended and given larger windows. When it was renovated again in 1896, a thorough return to the Gothic style was attempted. Neo-Gothic altars were installed, the old ceiling painting was painted over, the church and tower were repainted on the outside and the portal was renewed.
The academic painter Franz Fuchs from Hall created a picture of the church's patron saint above the entrance.
Church service: Sunday 8.30 am and 7.30 pm
St. Anna Church - Baumkirchen
St. Anna 's Church on Kreuzbühel was built around 1650 by Thomas Gapp and other benefactors. The ground plan of the small church is strikingly similar to buildings that can be attributed to the creator of the Karlskirche, Dr. Hippolyt Guarinoni. The altar is in the early Baroque style and is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance. Although St. Anne's Church was mainly used by those seeking relaxation, it gained particular importance through the St. Anne's Brotherhood, which was founded in 1710. The church can be visited.
