The guild system in Hall. Guided tour
Does the expression "Bäckerschupfen" mean anything to you? Why did the profession of painter once distinguish between "signwriter, painter and decorator"? Where does the term "Schlitzohr" come from? You will get answers to all these questions on the themed tour organized by the TVB Region Hall-Wattens. Follow in the footsteps of the guilds with our guide and rediscover Tyrol's largest old town.
This guided tour as part of our weekly program
Every Wednesday at 2 pm, guests from the Hall-Wattens region can take part in the themed tour “The guild system in Hall - craftsmanship has a golden foundation” in Hall in Tirol as part of the weekly winter program.
In keeping with this motto, we embark together on a journey through time to the medieval mining and trading town of Hall, where bakers, millers and butchers played a central role in supplying the population. Even today, alley names inside and outside the town walls remind us of blacksmiths and wagon makers, locksmiths, tanners and coopers. The carnival with its Fasserrössl also brings long-forgotten times back to life. Good luck!
