Stromboli cultural laboratory. Hall in Tirol
The Stromboli cultural laboratory in Hall/Tyrol was founded in 1989 and is now one of the most versatile cultural and communication centers in our region. With more than 100 events a year in the fields of music, theater, literature, media art and children's culture, Stromboli offers a varied program for many generations. In addition, the Stromboli has developed into a flourishing trendy venue with a charming bar and good sound.

Platform for up-and-coming artists
Despite having established itself as an event venue over the years, Stromboli has always been able to retain its laboratory character and is an important platform for up-and-coming local artists. For example, the "open air newcomer band contest" takes place every year, organized together with the "park in" youth center, where young Tyrolean bands compete in front of a jury and an enthusiastic audience. At the same time, Stromboli offers new input through collaboration with national and international musicians and bands. The musical spectrum ranges from classic pop and rock formations to jazz, avant-garde and electronic music culture. The Kulturlabor has always had a good feel for up-and-coming talent.
Names such as Gustav, Soap an Skin, Kreisky, Austrofred and Rainer von Vielen played at Stromboli even before they became permanent fixtures in today's music scene.
For a few years now, there has also been a new LiteraturSTROM for Hall. The event series consists of around 6 readings a year, which are programmed and organized by the "literature dealer" Robert Renk.
There is also space for cabaret and theater evenings in the Haller Kulturvulkan. And if there is not enough space because the crowds are too big - such as with the Geschwister Pfister or Lukas Resetarits - then the Kurhaus Hall or the Salzlager are used.
In the warmer months, Stromboli is always drawn outdoors and spaces such as the historic town hall courtyard become a club or reading stage.
And because the Kulturlabor doesn't take anything easy, there are regular focal points such as "tRaumfrau", "Verzogene Haller", "Otto Grünmandl's Zimmertheater" or a street festival for children. Renowned artists such as the Bavarian cult band "Biermösl Blosn", the cabaret artist "Gerhard Polt" or the artists and women's band "Chicks on Speed" are invited to match the respective projects.
Even the little ones don't have to miss out at Stromboli: The Kulturlabor's children's program is a fixed and established part of the annual program, which consists of plays and concerts for a young audience as well as workshops for children from the age of one and enjoys great popularity throughout Tyrol with mostly sold-out performances.
