Old Town Gallery. Hall in Tyrol
The Altstadt Galerie Hall was founded in 1993 and is located at Schlossergasse 6. On the one hand, the medieval building impresses with its unique atmosphere, on the other hand, the gallery is characterized by its consistent artistic orientation in the exhibition program. The gallery rooms extend over three floors and invite art lovers into beautiful old parlors. This creates a fascinating contrast between wood paneling, lime plaster walls and vaulted ceilings.
The terrace is mainly used for the presentation of sculptures in the open air. Under the enthusiastic management of gallery owner Hannes Niederlechner, the gallery has gained an outstanding reputation for representational painting and sculpture over the years. The focus of the exhibitions is on contemporary Austrian art, which includes prints, oil paintings and watercolors and deals with themes such as landscape painting, still life and nude painting.
In 2018, the Altstadt Galerie Hall celebrated its 25th anniversary as an important meeting place for collectors and art lovers. Guided tours are offered regularly and as required to give visitors a comprehensive insight.
