Historical. Circular hiking trail

Hardly any other region in the Inn Valley is as rich in cultural monuments as the area between Volders and Wattens. In 1990, the local history and museum association Wattens-Volders marked out an approx. 9.5 km long 'Historical Circular Hiking Trail' to bring the historically valuable sights closer to interested hikers. This charming, relatively easy circular walk is also ideal for families with children. It starts at the parking lot of the famous Karlskirche church at the Volderer Inn bridge and also leads past the Himmelreich open-air museum, one of the places of power in the Hall-Wattens region.

Wattens viewing platform

When walking along the popular historical circular hiking trail, hikers can look forward to a surprising experience worth seeing: the Wattens viewing platform offers a fabulous panoramic view of the Inntal valley, the market town of Wattens and the neighboring Tyrolean villages.

A large historical black and white photograph of the village of Wattens from 1920 can also be seen on the viewing platform. The visual development of the settlement area over the last century is impressive, as every visitor will see for themselves.

The historical circular hiking trail still has many exciting stories to tell, and you can enjoy the most beautiful view here. And you can find out more about the municipality at the Wattens Museum.
