Hall's inn culture over the centuries. Guided tour of Hall's pub history

For a variety of reasons, numerous inns were built during Hall's 700-year history, which were always busy. Hall had a clear competitive advantage thanks to the harbor, the right to settle and hold markets, the Inn bridge, the two fairs, etc. Numerous people such as pilgrims, clergymen, envoys and knights in search of military service as well as craftsmen needed accommodation and food.
This led to the development of a lively and exciting tavern culture, which has a lot to tell.

This guided tour as part of our weekly program

Every Friday at 4 p.m. (summer) or 2 p.m. (winter), guests of the Hall-Wattens region can take part in the "Prost & Mahlzeit" inn tour in Hall in Tirol as part of the weekly program.

The new themed tour of the TVB Hall-Wattens offers a special kind of culinary tour. Austriaguide Katharina Nagy has taken an in-depth look at the centuries-old tradition of inns and taverns in Hall and created a captivating tour through Hall's charming alleyways. This new walk leads through Tyrol's largest old town and provides an insight into the fascinating history of its inns, offering anecdotes and interesting facts about food and drink.
