In the Hall-Wattens vacation region, passionate summiteers will get their money's worth just as much as pleasure-oriented nature lovers. The Karwendel Nature Park, the largest of its kind in Tyrol, offers ideal terrain for mountain enthusiasts with its wild and romantic mountain valleys and famous peaks. Many long-distance hiking routes also cross the region, for example the route from Munich to Venice, the Karwendel High Trail and stages of the famous Eagle's Trail.
Valuable prizes in our summer competition include a "nature gourmet trip for 2" in a 4**** hotel as the main prize and many other prizes.
The seven-kilometre-long Zirbenweg high-altitude trail leads through one of the largest Swiss stone pine forests in Europe and at 2,000 meters above sea level, hikers can admire an ancestor: The oldest stone pine tree in Tyrol, which stands in the midst of untouched Alpine nature and has been designated a natural monument since 1926.
The hiking trails offer different levels of difficulty for excursions with or without Nordic walking poles, with friends, the whole family or completely alone. Rustic huts and alpine pastures await you for a rest and refreshment stop. All routes are listed on the hiking map and outdoor map of the region - both are available free of charge from the Hall-Wattens tourist office.
Those who prefer to explore the area by mountain bike or road bike will find a wide range of easy to challenging tours through wild and romantic valleys or to rustic mountain huts and lodges.
