It does require some planning and preparation, but the adventures together in nature will provide both you and your child with many wonderful memories. Helpful tips for hiking with a baby carriage

  • Plan the route in advance and find the right tour.
  • Avoid steep climbs and rough terrain.
  • Use a robust stroller - preferably with all-terrain tires.
  • Pack enough water, snacks, diapers and a change of clothes.
  • Start the hike when the child is most alert and in a good mood.
  • Take regular breaks so that the child can stretch and play.
  • Use the stroller brakes when you are on a steep slope.
  • Use sufficient sun protection, despite the shade provided by the stroller.

The wonderful panoramic hiking trail is located in the Karwendel Nature Park at an altitude of around 1,500 meters. It starts at the Hinterhornalm, which can be reached by car via the toll road. From there, the wide gravel path leads through trees that provide cooling shade. There is an easy ascent and descent of around 60 meters along the entire trail. As soon as you reach the plateau of the Walderalm after just under 1.5 kilometers, wonderful views of the Inn Valley and the Karwendel mountains open up. The Walderalm is a good place to stop for refreshments and then you take the same route back to the Hinterhornalm.

The approx. 45-minute Zwugl circuit frames the entire Kugelwald forest on the Glungezer. The mountain adventure world is located at the Halsmarter middle station, which you can easily reach by gondola with a baby carriage. There is a paved hiking trail around the Kugelwald that leads through the wonderfully fragrant stone pine forest. The trees provide shade and the relaxation loungers at the viewing platform are also the perfect place for parents to take a short break. With a total distance of just under 2 kilometers and a difference in altitude of 75 meters, the Zwuglrunde is also perfect for strollers. You can also stop for a bite to eat at the Alpengasthof Halsmarter afterwards.
