Culinary foray - Delicious through the region

Tyrolean specialties can be tasted and enjoyed at regional and local suppliers. If you not only want to know where it comes from, but also how it is made, then you can learn a lot in the Hall-Wattens region. In addition to the Tyrolean schnapps route, where you can watch the schnapps distillers at work, you can also visit suppliers such as Tyrolean organic mushrooms or Alpine prawns. You can find out first-hand what it takes for the food to end up on our table.

Austria's largest vegetable garden - Hall radish market

The area around the towns of Thaur and Absam is often referred to as "Austria's largest vegetable garden". 60% of all radishes grown in Austria and many other types of vegetables are cultivated here. The harvest is celebrated at the radish market on Stiftsplatz with music, local delicacies and, of course, radishes.

Hiking on the Glungezer
Bergsagen Weiterwanderweg - multi-day tour in the Karwendel and the Tux Alps

The new long-distance hiking trail in the Hall Wattens region takes you around the region in 5 daily stages. The start and end point are on the edge of the Karwendel Nature Park, but in between you will pass through the Tux Alps as well as the small villages of the region and the town of Hall in Tirol. Overnight stays are in accommodation in the villages of the region. In addition to places of power in the region, you will also find a legend about the surrounding area on each stage.

Swiss stone pine days on the Glungezer - In the realm of the Queen of the Alps

The stone pine is the "Queen of the Alps" - but it certainly reigns supreme on the Glungezer. Here, where the largest stone pine forest in Central Europe is located and its characteristic scent is always in the air, is the ideal place to celebrate Tyrol's Stone Pine Days. Guided nature tours, a look over the shoulders of carvers and a lecture by Prof. Dr. Maximilian Moser round off the Stone Pine Days high above the Hall-Wattens region.

On vacation with child & cone - mountain adventure worlds

The mountain adventure world "Kugelwald am Glungezer" is the world's largest ball track in the great outdoors and invites you to exercise, play and be creative in a natural forest. In addition to a visit to the mountain adventure world, there is also an extensive range of workshops for the little ones in the realm of the giant in the Swarovski Crystal Worlds.

Out and about in the Karwendel Nature Park

As part of the Nature Watch tour, you will gain an insight into the flora and fauna of the Nature Park of the Year 2020. Equipped with binoculars from Swarovski Optik, you will also take to the wings of the eagle. A stop at the Walderalm with a tasting of the award-winning Tyrolean cheese dumpling is a must on this trip.

Organic mountain farmers' festival

In the Hall-Wattens vacation region in the heart of Tyrol, enjoyment is celebrated with joy. Tasting and enjoying organic delicacies is the motto of the organic mountain farmers' festival in September. Farmers from the region invite you to linger and taste their delicacies. On a leisurely hike through the colorful autumn landscape, you can learn interesting facts about the region and the places of power.

Winter magic & Christmas markets

The Tyrolean mountain winter is best enjoyed in the Hall-Wattens region: be it with a cup of mulled wine at Hall's Advent market, on a Rauhnacht tour through the alleyways of the old town or during a sporty winter program high above the valley.
